Special Congratulations To The Firefighter I/II Class of 2012-2013

In 2012 the Whiteland Volunteer Fire Department held a firefighter I/II class for the newest members of the department. Recently class has concluded and are in the process of final testing.

As some of you know it is not an easy class to get through, many hours of hard training along with many hours of studying to become the best firefighter for the community.

So the member of the WVFD would like to take the opportunity to congratulate the members for working so diligently on their course.

Two  New Additions To The Whiteland Volunteer Fire Department.

These two new pieces of apparatus will be a great addition to the community volunteer fire department. The Tender / Tanker is 3000 gallons of water that will be a welcomed site for responding to many types of fires including but not limited to rural fires that do not offer hydrants.

The second unit is Grass 71 which is a very welcomed unit that will respond to fires such as field fires, grass fires, as well as any other type of fire that the unit is needed.

Both of these units not only will respond to the Whiteland Fire District, but will be a valuable asset to surrounding communities when the Whiteland Volunteer Fire Department is called for   Mutual Aid.

We could not do this without the support of the community as well as the volunteers who dedicate their time and life to defend it.

So we would like to say thank you for supporting the
Whiteland Volunteer Fire Department.
